From a NY Times review of the “DruidSynge” presentation of a number of JM Synge’s plays, Nasty, Brutish and Long: J. M. Synge, All at Once :

    Thanks for this post – was not familiar with JMS’ work, read Riders last night, Jane started this morning. I found it not so much “ouch” as reassuring – in the same way that naming one’s fears is a beginning to help one cope.
